NEY METALS & ALLOYS

Specification Sheet   Ney " 7C " Aluminum Solder

Overview

We  have introduced the Tin-Zinc solders to the electronics industry after a need for cadmium free solders became evident.  These solders are produced with virgin metals and are available in a variety of packaging.

 Group Service

Our " 7C " solder is recommended for soldering aluminum to aluminum and aluminum to copper.  An external flux , such as our "AFC" Honey flux, is required.  The following applications are typical service groups:

Ultra-sonic baths.

Ceramic Capacitor metallizing & soldering.

High voltage applications.

Heating Panel applications.

Sound equipment.

Spray solder systems.

Metallic Coatings systems (molds, trophies, etc.).

Automatic feed systems.

 Specifications

7C solder has a working temperature from 391 F to 591 F.  This range falls between the low temperature "soft" solders and the silver brazing alloys.

Due to the tin content, there is sufficient corrosion resistance and shear strength, while the zinc content dramatically increases the tensile strength.

 Forms available

7C solder comes in .062" diameter wire form on 5 lb. spools as a standard item.  We can, however, supply this solder in .125", .057" and .030" diameters.

Bar form, ingots, and if quantities justify, special forms can be manufactured for dipping, furnace soldering, spray guns or rub tinning are also available.

Be sure to ask about our FLUXLESS ALUMINUM SOLDER along with any of your additional white metal solder needs.
