PRODUCT BULLETIN #324 NEY S-2 ZINC ALLOY This alloy has been designed as a companion alloy to our NEY S-1 to be used in the centrifugal casting process to be cast into SILICON RUBBER MOLDS where the cost of the die casting process is not justified and the strength and the somewhat higher cost factor of our NEY S-1 must be considered. DENSITY: 24 lbs./cu.in. ELONGATION: 8% LIQUIDUS TEMPERATURE: 734 F POURING TEMPERATURE: 850 F - 950 F TENSILE STRENGTH: 52,000 COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH: 93,000 psi IMPACT VALUE: 35 ft.-lbs. ELECTRICAL CONDUCTIVITY: 25% IACS SOLDERABILITY: Can be soldered with special solders or special preparation - contact our technical department with your specific problem. FINISHES: Mechanical, chemical, organic, electrodeposited and plastic.
